I'm running fast to get done what I need to before I finish work at 1pm. I've then got to hire a car, go back home and pack for our drive up North -- circa 5/6 hours. I'm expecting an ETA of 8pm.
I went for a 40 minutes walk this morning, knowing that I'd be sat down for most of the day. I'm about to start running again, which is good but I'm still not sure what my hips and knees will make of it. (I've signed up for a 5k run in September so any training has to be better than none.)
I've started reading a wonderful book by Byron Katie. I'm not great at book reviews but I'll try to remember to write a few lines about it. At the moment, it's focused on a profound method of self-inquiry and chimes with my understanding of contemplation -- see the writings of Thomas Merton.
I'm not sure if I'll post anything now until next Tuesday, but will try to share a few pictures when I next do so next of Hetty's racing.
