Yes, it's just about morning as I write this, but it's substantially later than normal.
Of course, I'm at work -- doing the CEO thing -- but, at the same time, I'm trying to stay connected across several social media platforms including LinkedIn (me and the law firm), Twitter (me and several work platforms), Soundcloud (I've logged in but not done anything, yet) and I've also checked in on Buffer where I seem to have scheduled over 40 posts to go for work. This afternoon I will write a further short post on LinkedIn, Tumblr, record a podcast to Soundcloud and deal with a shed load of emails. I've got to leave slightly early today to pick up a tyre for my daughter's bike before we leave for the North West of England tomorrow afternoon (a five hour trip if the traffic isn't too bad -- I expect it to be bad given we're driving across the rush hour in Manchester/Liverpool).
Tonight, I'll be packing my stuff and all the bike stuff for three days of racing. I've managed to sort the hotel for both of us. It's a bank holiday in the UK but me and Hetty will be in Lancaster for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and she's got a busy programme of racing with the best 30 junior girls in the country. It's tough for her because this week she's been taking her A1s (they used to be called ASs), but she's still managed to train and eat properly. She hasn't rested as much as I would have liked but she'll be fine. Again, much like a lot of her racing this year, it will be a great experience for her, and another step towards building her Palmares. Trust me, she's under no illusion that to make it professionally is going to be exceptionally hard, but right now that's what she's focused on.
I'll miss Alli and Floz, even more so the fact that I won't have any time off next week for half term. Evie, my eldest daughter, is back next week, which will be great but knowing her she'll have sorted her social diary, so we won't see a lot of her.
I hope that I'll get a chance to do some reading, sketching and writing over the coming weekend but I don't want to be too definite until I see how the days unfold. I've got the LJ mobile app which means I might post something very short but I hope I can be let off if I don't publish something until early next week.
Have a great day.
