“An awake heart is like a sky that pours light.” -- Hafez
Post after post exhorts change.
A new philosophy.
A new mantra.
A new thinker.
But look around you. How much change, transformative or otherwise, do you see?
Little, if any.
We're stuck. Or perhaps marooned, marooned on an island of our making.
To be clear, I abhor groupthink or a philosophy built upon another sales platform (ask yourself, how many of so-called leaders would peddle their message absent a financial imperative?). Instead, what I long for is real people who've chosen a way of life that suits them (not to fit in with the masses), leaves them closer to their true Self, with love, kindness and truth at their epicentre.
Perhaps Gandhi was right when he talked about being the change you want to see in the world, but when all you do is copy the stereotypical, materialistic fanboy/girl built atop a materialistic worldview, what hope for the rest of us.
