My youngest daughter passed her driving test just before Christmas — at the first attempt.
She's now got wheels: a little VW Golf.
It's things like this, even allowing for the pandemic, which means she can't go very far, that changes the order of things. My two other daughters don't live at home: both full-time students for now.
Sitting in my office (06:08), I suddenly realise that time really is marching on and it won't be long before [fill in the detail]. And here was me still thinking I was 21, give or take a year.
