To serve is one of the most powerful choices we make.
Too often, we resile from our obligations, particularly when we revert to 'me first'.
But to become more than our egoic self, we have to let go, not overthink the process, and completely collapse into what we're doing.
Genuine service -- in every area of our lives: work, family and friends -- has the power to change lives, forever.
Next time you find yourself blessed with the opportunity to serve, drop your faux self, take a deep breath, and collapse fully into the moment. Don't think of being taken advantage of or being weak for not saying no, but express your glorious self in every way possible.
When I look back on my own life, I know when I've applied beginner's mind to service it's radically opened my eyes to how it might make a difference to someone else, not just that but my own unfolding.
