Good morning

Today is my middle daughter's birthday. She's 21.

She was born at 11 am on 22nd February 1999, and by 6 pm my wife and I were back home. It was the easiest of my wife's three births — the other two were long and painful.

All I'll say about daughter #2 is she's very driven. It's a great trait to have but sometimes it can get in the way of her appreciating what she's got. Also, she's always, a bit like I was at her age, searching...for something better.

She has mellowed with age but if things don't go exactly as she wants them, look out.

But we all love ❤️❤️ her very, very much and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think, weather permitting, we'll be off to the beach for a walk at around 11 am. At the moment, it's pissing with rain but it would be more than my life is worth to suggest to my daughter that perhaps we ought to do something else. But then again, what's a bit of rain between friends and family?

I'm back to work on Monday. I've not given it any thought — seriously — and it will be what it will be. I might be flying to Italy on Thursday to try and sort out a contract. I don't want to go, but knowing my boss, he'll have already booked everything and it will be offered to me as a fait accompli.

I did today share a blog about my work. Here's a link if you're interested. It gives a little more context to what I will be doing in the future — the near future. But then again, even I'm getting bored with listening to myself say the same thing.

I'm sorry to those people who've very kindly left a comment or two on my recent posts. I'm a bit behind in responding. I will get to them.

Anyhow, wherever you are and whatever you're up to have a wonderful day.

Much love,
