“We don’t even ask happiness, just a little less pain.” -- Charles Bukowski

There’s no one size fits all.

Some come at life through joy, others friendship, and still others their daily material fix, but, in the end, happiness is all that matters.

How to achieve it...forever.

Now that would be telling.

As someone who’s been there and back more times than I care to recall, one thing I can say with absolute certainty is, it’s not going to be found out there. No, happiness grows from within.

Imagine talking to your younger self right now, what advice would you give apropos happiness?

Stop chasing it. It’s you; it’s right here: you can find it without even looking.

Pithy, ethereal...and not much help but far better that than to talk about the industrial paradigm that we’re still fixated with.

There’s no right time, right place or right way. Rather, in typical Zen fashion I would say, “Everything just is” (my emphasis added). Give up trying; be everything about you.

And one last thing. Keep everything simple, really simple. Don’t try to be anything, chase anything and get close, real close to nature.

Oh...and one final, final thing, laugh...and laugh out loud every day. (Watching Laurel & Hardy always reminds me not to take myself or life too seriously.)
