Digital is only part of the solution

I've just read Chris Brogan's blog post: I'm not a social media expert. I was tempted to use the same title but opted for something a little less dramatic. (Actually, I'm not ready to step away from the Guru label just yet.)

But the thing is, despite my proclivity towards digital and an abundance of (self-taught) knowledge, my skill set is not so limited that all I do (or want to do) is offer a bag of 'tips and tricks' around social media. Instead, as my main site makes clear, my raison d'etre is to awaken the genius within. That could mean business transformation, unlocking your creative self or personal development coaching.

If you know me or have worked with me, you'll know I set the bar high, not because I want to make myself look clever or different to the competition, but rather out of sense of wanting to show that without self-induced limitation, the world genuinely is your oyster.

If I've learned anything over the past few years though, it's this: until people understand who they are and what they want out of life, the rest is just window dressing.
