We're (only) human

“One is never afraid of the unknown; one is afraid of the known coming to an end.”
Krishnamurti

In the beginning, there sure as hell wasn't some superhuman, I-can-be-anything-I-want homo sapien.

Now?

There's nothing we can't do and/or be. Period. (And yet, we've made a right mess of things!)

Then again, we all come into the world the same way. Likewise, we go out the same way — despite the fact that the Billionaires are looking for the secret to everlasting life 🤣🤣.

When I started out in this world, I wanted to be someone and get somewhere, even though I could barely detect the pulse of this new 'me'. If only I'd understood that to be was the highest form of living.

What (again) am I trying to say?

We're human, and with that less-than-acute observation comes a whole host of issues but only because or largely because we've a developed brain that allows us to think. Trouble is, it's very impressionable and/or susceptible to the flashing lights of success and the slightly threadbare happiness trope.

Perhaps I hang out in the wrong places or listen to the wrong people but I'm sick to death of seeing material that (in essence) tells us we're all broken and yet fixable or out on the horizon awaits a better, more complete version of us. Really? What's wrong with how you are — all body, mind and spirit?
