Good morning all my fellow LJists.

Here's the link (if you're interested of course) to this week's monologue, which I've uploaded to Mixcloud — a free audio platform.

Thank you for listening.

Blessings and love,

A day of rest

I don't know about yours, but that feeling I used to have about Sunday being the opportunity to kick back and relax has long since departed me.

These days, it's all about catching up with the chores, rushing around to do things I've told myself I need to do — or am driven to do — and generally staying wired to the impending week ahead.

But, even though I'll be off in the early afternoon to collect daughter #1 (a round trip of 400 miles), I'm beginning to feel a little more relaxed knowing that I'm off on holiday now until 6 January 2020. Oh sure, I know that Christmas (as always) will be manic but that doesn't mean to say the impression of Sunday being a day of rest can't return.

It's pissing down outside.

It's been like this for...weeks.

I don't mind save that I know the house is taking a bit of a hammering — e.g. the usual assortment of leaks from the Velux and a few other windows.

Not that I'm wishing for anything over the break (as if I'm in control of anything) but I pray for a few dry days to get outside in the garden, ride my bike and enjoy a few walks over Dartmoor.

What's it like where you are?

I'd love to know.
