No way out

“Wisdom is knowing I am nothing,
Love is knowing I am everything,
and between the two my life moves.”

― Nisargadatta Maharaj

...from our thinking self (not just the critic but everything).

If only we'd rest in something -- e.g. awareness -- or question each thought ("Is it true?")

But in the end, even that becomes another thought-induced process.

Perhaps we're destined to be this way (and that) but just imagine (which of course you can't) the unknowing, the unbounded, limitless unknowing.

Too spiritual?

Too big for the ego?

Utter crap?

Who knows? Who truly knows?

Piercing the veil

We're lost in a sea of thought.

Most people never break out. If they do, it's a glimpse of something profound, something deep. (In my case, death came upon me...and I survived of course -- who else is typing this!).

It's not for everyone. It's probably not for anyone, but it happens. Liberation? I don't know. It just is.

Anyhow, a bit of Eckhart Tolle to get your head around.
