What can I say. The greatest of the greatest, Muhammad Ali, has passed away. He was and will always remain the best boxer that there ever was, and not just for his boxing but for everything he epitomised.

Here's a wonderful series of interviews with Michael Parkinson.

As to the rest of my day -- I've been up since 5am for a now abortive race that 'H' was supposed to be riding -- I've written a short list of things I need to do, but mostly I want to focus on packing for our pending move (fingers crossed it still happens).

Enjoy your day.

Why I'm blogging less

“The sign of the amateur is over glorification of and preoccupation with the mystery. The professional shuts up. She doesn't talk about it. She does her work.
Steven Pressfield

You'll have noticed that I'm blogging less and less.

To be clear: it's not the work I want to be remembered for.

No, I want to write and publish.

And I've been saying that for far too long!

The more I blog, the less I write, the less likely I'll ever publish...anything. Period.

I do blog, but publish to my site, and only once a week (Monday).

I've posted a few random things to Tumblr, but, as I've said already, if I post anything there now, it will be short pieces of poetry, and not much else. I don't intend to write further to LinkedIn, and gave up on Medium, Cowbird and Ello a while ago.

I'll continue to write a journal here but so far I've not shared it outside the platform.

I hope that I don't have to cut back still further but with Resistance being a constant and devious companion, the less I show it mercy, the more likely it is that I'll publish something this side of Christmas.
