Another Sunday of racing (not me)

Another Sunday.

Another day with the middle daughter ("H") taking her to a cycle race -- this time just south of Bristol.

Unfortunately, despite all her hard work, a week of musical/dance shows and studying for her A-levels finally caught up with her, and she didn't finish the race -- the first time ever. As you can imagine, she was a little bit upset, but I know the moment will pass. I don't mean that in a dismissive way, but simply to highlight that our minds will involve themselves in the here and now -- particularly when it's not supposedly pleasant -- but give it a few weeks, and she'll have forgotten her travails and will be back to her best.

As to mother's day, well it was, sadly, a non-event. I'm sure I'll be reminded of that...

How was your day?

The weather sure is mighty fine in Devon.

Until tomorrow.
