We made it: Hetty (in the picture on the front) and I returned late last night from three days of racing in the North West of England. Hetty had ridden here last year as a Youth rider, but this year she was trying her hand as first year Junior (she'll have three years in the ranks before she moves up to proper adult racing). Unfortunately, there are very few Junior girls races in the UK, so this maybe the last one of the year, which is a shame because it's much better for her to be racing people of her own age and ability. As you can see from the picture, the weather was fantastic, which always makes the racing fast and exciting.

I'm back to work today, and know the week will go by very quick. I'm off racing again on Saturday -- this time 'H' has the South West Regional Road Race but I'm not sure what to expect.

I did manage to keep writing my morning pages over the past few days, but everything else creative went out the window being the Wing Man for 'H'. I'll step it up a few notches this week, but without going silly. I know too that I've got to get into better physical shape, and my intention is to combine the bit of cycling that I've managed with some short runs. I might also start swimming. I know when I regularly exercise that not only do I feel better I've more energy to do the things I need to do.

The other thing that's happening is we're supposed to be moving house over the coming months. At the moment, there's packing boxes coming out of every orifice. I keep telling Alli to hold her horses -- we've not exchanged contracts -- but the boxes keep coming! Also, we're off to Portugal on holiday in July. I've got to get a replacement Passport as I lost mine. I've no pictures at the moment, and I know if I don't sort my you-know-what out that I'm going to have a trip to Newport to get one at the last minute.

Anyhow, signing off for today to get ready for work. I may try and share a few more things today, but this might be it.

Have a good week if like me you're working (in the UK) or have a great one even if you're not.
