Look around you …
What do you see?
The same behaviour as … yesterday?
And the day before.
It’s too obvious I know, but if we want to effect change -- particularly beyond the thoughts in our head -- we have to stand tall, hold our ground and manifest the change we want:
It’s all too easy to give up when all around you, you witness sameness, but much like the pebble effect so eloquently talked about by Stephen M R Covey in his wonderful book, Speed of Trust, if we want to see change in the world, then it has to start with us, i.e. you, me and all those people we interact with on a day to day basis.
Be the change.
Not a bad life message no matter your age or position in life.
PS. The other book that comes immediately to mind when I’m thinking of change, particularly in the values space, is Jack Bogle’s wonderful book, Enough.
