Early mornings

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.”
― Charles Darwin, The Life & Letters of Charles Darwin

I must be mad getting up at 5am. But it works...for me.

I call it my creative period, but in truth it's the only time I get to be myself 100%; the rest of the day I play one role or another -- I still try to be authentic but there's a thin veil often between me and the outside world.

Right now, I know I should be writing a book and not blogging and podcasting quite so much but sometimes we have to go where we go. If I'm struggling with anything, it's not believing I've anything original or novel or worth saying. (Do you ever have those days?)

Am I likely to change my routine? I doubt it. I enjoy it too much, even though sometimes I feel like sh*t.

Anyhow, onwards, forever onwards.

PS. Here's a nice bit of music to start your day.
