The question is, should I continue with this platform? I recognise that I've not posted here for a very long time but that's only because I've been writing elsewhere--Tumblr, Wordpress and Cowbird.

When I first opened the account I did so because I saw that so many (published) writers, particularly in the science fiction genre, were writing here. I'm not sure why that should be relevant but I assumed that when and if I did write something of the fictional type (all my stuff to date has been of the serious, get better material), it would stand me in good stead.

I know in the not too distant future I will have to make a decision on whether to keep the account but given (a) that I've still not achieved my aim of writing fiction, (b) I haven't given the platform enough time and attention (and love) and (c) it's always worked in times of technical, blogging crises, I think, on balance, I'm bound to keep it.

I think it would be nice to think that I can include snippets or extracts from my stories and get feedback--that's one idea anyway--or perhaps to create material that's not going to clash with my business-focused material. Hey, perhaps one day I'll throw caution to wind and just let my writing rip.

Until the next post (oh, how many times have I said that...!)?
